Jesse started his rescue career as a lifeguard in 1989. He graduated from Humber College's Paramedic Program in 1992. He has worked EMS on land and water, in Canada but also in Israel and Peru during SAR deployments.

Jesse started CZER in 1994 as Interzone First Response, offering medical response for the Ontario Rave scene. With a team of 12 paramedic-certified First Responders, Interzone covered events up with up to 5,000 attendees and periods up to 3 days, in one case including tornadoes.

Over several decades, Jesse has personally trained 13,000 prehospital responders. He consulted in program development to Toronto Paramedic Services, and has written and edited many EMS and SAR textbooks. He has also consulted with a local police service on hybrid vehicle selection.

In 2012, Jesse began cross-training in ground SAR in Israel and Canada. He changed the company's focus to ground Search and Rescue in 2017, until COVID changed the landscape of international response.

Since 2022, Jesse has re-invented his company again, adding local private-sector first response to the services the company provided already.
